Stop Motion
1st grade lesson overview:
Stop motion is a filmmaking technique made up of individually photographed frames that capture objects that are manipulated in small increments. When these photographs are played consecutively, they create a film. In the art room, students use the iMovie application to make their own stop motion. Before starting on the iPad, students planned out a story on a worksheet. After completing the worksheet, students created a background and characters using color paper, scissors, coloring materials, and glue.
