4th grade lesson overview:

In this lesson the students learned about fiber art.  They discovered how fiber art comes in many different forms.  At the start of the lesson students practiced various ways of weaving on a paper plate.  The students then painted the paper plate with at least three different colors.  When the students started weaving, the design of the yarn had to compliment the background.

Objectives:

1) Students artistically created a weaving paper plate painting by actively listening to both the PowerPoint presentation and the demonstration on how to stitch lines in various ways.

2) Students thoroughly described the art form of fiber by analytically observing the class PowerPoint presentation.
