Picasso Superheros
8th grade lesson overview:
In this lesson I taught students about Picasso's cubism art style. Students learned about Picasso's cubism in portraiture. They discovered that the human figure was Picasso's prime subject and the figures appear distorted. Picasso's portraiture is based on interpretation and understanding of the model. For this project the students took a fun twist on cubism by creating portraits of superheroes.
