Supporting Multilingual Learners

One of my goals in the art room is to provide an environment that allows every child to succeed.  In order to accomplish this, I have incorporated translations for my multilingual students to better understand the content in each art unit.  I will include the necessary translations in my Google Slides, create task analysis handouts, and vocabulary translation handouts to support student learning.  These translations in handouts and presentation slides allow my students to have the confidence to work independently in the classroom.  Additionally, I will use applications on my classroom iPad, such as Google Translate, to communicate with my multilingual students in order to address any questions or concerns.  I have found that these steps have helped all my students succeed in the art room.
